| Oral and poster presentations and Research
Group Meetings will take place in the building
of the Faculty of Agriculture on the North
Campus of Kyoto University in Kyoto. The reception desk is also found
in the same building. Awards Presentation, Millennium Symposiums and Banquet will be held at Kyoto TERRSA about 6 km south of the North Campus of Kyoto University. |

Presentations |
|
Individuals interested in giving an oral or a poster presentation at the Annual Meeting are required to complete the Registration Form and submit a one-page abstract. The completed form should be sent by E-mail or fax to the office of WOOD 2000 KYOTO as soon as possible -- no later than January 11, 2000. The abstract should be written in camera ready on the form attached in the issue of No. 6, Vol. 45 of Mokuzai Gakkaishi and sent to the office of WOOD 2000 KYOTO by February 2, 2000. |
| The Registration Form described above is valid only for participants registering from outside Japan. When you will join the Meeting from Japan, you are required to register via the WWW page of WOOD 2000 KYOTO. |

Each oral presentation should be within 15 minutes duration including discussion. Use of OHP (transparency sheet) is strongly recommended, although a slide projector is available only in the sessions on "tissue culture & xylem formation" and "xylem structure & classification." |
|
The panel for poster presentation is 2.1 m high × 0.9 m wide. The presentation will be scheduled in the Annual Meeting Proceedings. If you need special devices for presentation, you must inform us when you send the Registration Form. |

The official language of the Meeting is Japanese, but English presentations and abstracts are also acceptable. |

| To register for the Meeting, please complete the Registration Form and send it by E-mail or fax to the office of WOOD 2000 KYOTO. |

Registration fees |

The registration fees include a copy of the Annual Meeting Proceedings and participation in the sessions and the Millennium Symposium. Separate fee, 7000JPY for registration until February 2 or 9000JPY after February 3, is charged for the Banquet. For participants registering from outside Japan, the payment of the registration and Banquet fees can be made by either credit card (VISA only) or in cash (JPY only). If paying by credit card, please send the completed Registration Form by fax to the Office of WOOD 2000 KYOTO no later than February 2, 2000. No refunds will be made for cancellations in any circumstances. |

| You are responsible for making your own hotel
reservations. A few hundreds rooms, ranging
5600 - 11000JPY per person per night, have
been reserved for the participants of the
Meeting by a travel agency. The room block
