PROGRAM: Conference would welcome oral or poster presentations
on following sessions:

Forest Products and Utilization: Effective utilization, new/effective
processing techniques, new wood composite products, quality evaluation,
and marketing strategies for plantation timber.

Wood-Frame Construction: Modern construction techniques/technologies
concerning structural safety and durability of light- and medium-wood-framed
structures, including earthquake resistance, fire resistance, noise resistance,
wind resistance, biodegradation proof, and structural stability of wood-framed
structure built on the hillside or soft and sloping ground.

Development of Forest Products Industries in IAWPS Member Country:
To be presented by delegate from each IAWPS member country.
Abstract approximately 250 words long must be submitted by November 30,
1998 to the ICEUPT '99 Conference Chair or Secretariat. Notification of
the accepted papers will be issued by December 31,1998 along with instructions
for manuscript preparations.
